September Return

Dear parents and carers,

I know that the past few months have been challenging for many and for many different reasons but we are all looking forward to welcoming back all of our learners on Wednesday 2nd September 2020.

School has been open throughout the pandemic, in term time and holidays.  All staff have worked hard to support learning either on site or remotely.

The planning process for September has already begun and I just wanted to share some of the many things that we will be considering. The updated risk assessment for September will be communicated to parents via our website at the end of August. We will also let you know when it is available, via email and ClassDojo.

In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know that we have already started to plan.

The school reviews its risk assessment regularly as it is a legal requirement. Monitoring is in place to check that it is effective and working to plan. The school has certain prevention measures in place.

 Prevention:

  1. Minimise contact with those unwell
  2. Clean hands more regularly
  3. ‘Catch it, bin it, kill it’ message in place
  4. Enhanced cleaning in place
  5. We will maintain social distancing where possible
  6. We will wear PPE in line with guidance

 Response:

  1. We will engage with track and trace
  2. We will manage confirmed cases amongst the community
  3. We will contain any outbreak following public health guidance

 Systems and Controls:

The school will limit interaction, sharing rooms and spaces as much as possible. Adults will remain 2m from adults and children whenever possible.
