I have been a Governor at Christ Church for over 30 years, initially as a parent governor, followed by a PCC Foundation Governor, and as Chair of Governors since September 2018. My two sons and daughter attended Christ Church. In that time, I have worked alongside three headteachers and seen Christ Church flourish and grow, and the experience gained over the years has been invaluable. I am passionate about the education, welfare and protection of children and young learners, to ensure that they are given every opportunity to succeed and grow into well-rounded individuals. The vision, aim and values of Christ Church fully support this passion, and I am thrilled to be part of the team ensuring that we always have the highest of expectations for ourselves and our learners. Every child is a unique gift of God. In my spare time, I am a Brownie Guide Leader with Girlguiding and a Junior Church Leader at Christ Church. I am also involved with many charities when time permits. |

I am proud to be Headteacher of Christ Church Primary School, where our vision – “We believe every child is a unique gift from God” – shapes all that we do. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and celebrated, so they can grow in confidence and develop the knowledge, skills and values they need for the future. Guided by our core values of Faith, Hope and Love, we work together as a community to nurture respectful, resilient and aspirational young people. It is a privilege to lead a school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish. |

Coopted - Trust appointed |
I am delighted to be a Local Authority appointed governor at Christ Church, Streatham. I became a governor as I believe in the power of the state education system to help children flourish and reach their full potential. As a governor, I support the school leaders to improve and monitor the school’s strategy. I am originally from Sydney, Australia, and I have been living and working in London as a lawyer since 2018. A proud father of two boys, I enjoy reading, cricket and getting to the beach whenever possible (a task that is slightly harder in London). |

Parent |
With two children who attend the school, I’ve been a parent governor at Christ Church since the autumn of 2023. Aside from a parental perspective on the school’s strategic direction, I also bring a teacher’s view, with substantial experience of lecturing at further and higher education levels. As it’s a statutory requirement for a governing board to hold the senior leadership team accountable for the school’s progress, my background in journalism also means that I’m not reluctant to ask pertinent and, when needed, challenging questions of the leadership team and its decision-making, with the ultimate goal of ensuring it maintains excellent standards and continues to provide a relevant and rich educational experience for all the children. I’m very proud to serve this role and support this great school in whatever way I can. |

Parent |
I became a Parent Governor in 2025, and although I am still relatively new to the role, I am deeply committed to ensuring that education is equitable and accessible for all children. Through my work closely with schools, I see first-hand the dedication, hard work and collaboration required to create a thriving learning environment. Stepping into the role of Parent Governor was my way of recognising that strong schools are built on meaningful parental engagement and shared responsibility. As a parent with children currently attending the school, I am passionate about representing the views and experiences of families within our community. I aim to be a constructive and balanced voice, advocating for positive outcomes for all pupils. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring London with my children and spending quality time with friends and family, often over good food or music. |

Staff |
I am the Office Manager at Christ Church Streatham and have worked at the school since 2017. I hold a degree in Business Management and a Level 4 School Business Manager qualification. My roles in administration and finance have given me strong skills in organisation, financial management and operational support. I value the school’s inclusive culture, strong community and commitment to staff development and pupil wellbeing. As a staff governor since March 2023, I represent staff voice, contribute to strategic decision-making and support the school’s continued growth. |
