Pupil Premium at Christ Church
What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding provided to schools to support disadvantaged pupils, including pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), those who have been eligible within the last six years (Ever 6 FSM) and pupils who are or have previously been looked after.
At Christ Church Streatham, we use this funding strategically to ensure disadvantaged pupils are fully supported to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. Our approach is centred around strong quality first teaching, targeted academic support and wider pastoral and enrichment provision so that all pupils can access the curriculum successfully and make strong progress from their starting points.
We recognise that some disadvantaged pupils face additional barriers to learning, including SEND, communication and language needs, attendance challenges and reduced access to wider opportunities beyond school. Leaders monitor the progress, attendance and wider experiences of disadvantaged pupils closely to ensure provision is responsive, effective and focused on securing the greatest possible impact.
The impact of pupil premium funding is reviewed regularly by senior leaders and governors to ensure it continues to meet the needs of pupils and supports strong outcomes over time.
