At Christ Church Streatham, our School Development Plan is rooted in our vision that every child is a unique gift from God. Our priorities reflect our commitment to ensuring all pupils flourish academically, socially and emotionally within a caring, inclusive and aspirational environment.

Priority 1: Strengthen Foundational Knowledge

We are continuing to strengthen the teaching of early reading, writing, language and mathematics so that pupils develop secure foundational knowledge and skills from the earliest stages of learning.

  • Strengthen early identification and targeted support
  • Improve consistency in foundational skills across the school
  • Continue to develop staff expertise and curriculum delivery

Priority 2: Strengthen Adaptive Teaching and Inclusion

We are continuing to strengthen adaptive teaching, behaviour support and inclusive practice to meet the increasingly complex needs of pupils across the school.

  • Develop consistent adaptive teaching approaches
  • Strengthen support for pupils with SEND and additional needs
  • Continue to develop behaviour and regulation strategies
  • Improve staff confidence and expertise through training and support

Priority 3: Secure Long-Term Sustainability

We are continuing to strengthen pupil recruitment, community engagement and the wider school offer to secure the long-term sustainability of the school.

  • Develop the Nursery and wider provision
  • Increase visibility within the local community
  • Continue to strengthen partnerships and opportunities for pupils

Priority 4: Strengthen Attendance

We are continuing to work closely with families to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence so that pupils can fully access learning and wider school opportunities.

  • Strengthen communication and support for families
  • Work closely with external agencies and partners
  • Ensure early intervention where concerns arise
